For this, the FIFA introduces a master cup of women, in which the six winners of the club competitions of the Confederations compete from next year.

“After incoming discussions with the confederations and important interest groups”, the date was decided, the World Association said. The club World Cup is said to take place every four years with 19 teams. The FIFA Council decided to introduce a club World Cup for women in 2022. Last year, FIFA announced that the club World Cup wanted to play the club in January or February 2026 with 16 teams.

A venue for the Premiere 2028 has not yet been determined. According to FIFA, the European clubs receive five direct starting places and a qualification place for the first edition. The master cup is to be played out in the years in which no club World Cup takes place.
