Champion Bayern Munich will face returning Science City Jena in the opening game of the new BBL season.
This is according to the preliminary schedule for the anniversary season 2025/26, which the Basketball Bundesliga published on Monday. The 60th season kicks off on September 26 at BMW Park.

Finals start on June 12, 2026
The main round ends on May 10, 2026, with the play-ins beginning two days later. The play-offs will be played from May 16, with the final games from June 12. The Top Four for the BBL Cup is scheduled for February 21/22.
Seven more games of the first matchday will take place on September 27 and 28. VET-Concept Gladiators Trier, the second promoted team alongside Jena, will play at home against the Rostock Seawolves.
Vice champion ratiopharm Ulm will receive the Niners Chemnitz. There is no date yet for the duel between Alba Berlin and the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg. – The 1st matchday at a glance:
