Biathlete Danilo Riethmüller has become a father. The 25-year-old shared the happy news via Instagram with the words: “The greatest happiness is sometimes very small.”
Riethmüller had already attracted attention during the German championships on the Große Arber when he left at short notice after the short singles on Friday.
In order to be there at the birth of his child and support his wife, the DSV athlete missed the rest of the competitions.
Three athletes became father
In addition to Johannes Kühn and Justus Strelow, Riethmüller is already the third athlete from the German A-squad of the men, who has become father this summer.
The new biathlon season starts on November 29th in the Swedish Östersund.
