New coach for ex-Bayern talent Irankunda

FC Bayern's new signing suddenly has to be treated during training and even driven off the pitch. Not the only moment of shock on Säbener Straße.

Things were looking promising for Nestory Irankunda after his move from FC Bayern to FC Watford. Now his club is making a coaching change.

Former Bayern talent Nestory Irankunda has to adapt to a new coach at Watford FC. As the English second division team announced, former coach Javi Gracia is taking over at Vicarage Road following the separation from Paulo Pezzolano.

“His passion, leadership and clear strategy will help us build stability, unity and momentum,” chairman Scott Duxbury said in the club statement.

Gracia was coach of the Hornets, who were still playing in the Premier League at the time, from January 2018 to September 2019. The hoped-for return to the English House of Lords should now be tackled with the 55-year-old Spaniard.

After his departure from FC Bayern at the start of the season, Irankunda made headlines with strong performances and impressive goals.

In his first four appearances, the 19-year-old Australian international scored two goals and an assist. However, Irankunda has been waiting for a goal participation since mid-September.
