The cabin incident at Olympique Marseille continues to haunt Adrien Rabiot. The Frenchman criticizes the club for poor communication.
Nearly two months ago, two top players were expelled from Olympique Marseille due to a locker room incident. One of them was Adrien Rabiot, who revealed he still hasn’t come to terms with the matter.
“I am sad because it shouldn’t have ended this way,” he told Téléfoot . “Of all the people I’ve spoken to, no one understood it. I didn’t understand it myself. This is obviously something quite sad and frustrating.”

Adrien Rabiot is still frustrated about his expulsion from Olympique Marseille
Currently playing for AC Milan, Rabiot feels quite comfortable there. Nevertheless, he remains frustrated about how the club communicated the situation at the time.
“What bothered me was that the truth wasn’t told about me. I was never violent, anyone can attest to that. I simply don’t want people to have the wrong image of me. That’s life in football, that’s life in general. You don’t always have everything under control,” emphasized the 30-year-old midfielder.
Rabiot frustrated about Marseille expulsion
In August, following a 0-1 defeat against Stade Rennes, a brutal confrontation occurred in the locker room between Rabiot and his teammate Jonathan Rowe. Marseille coach De Zerbi compared the incident to a brawl “in an English pub.”
Both players were immediately removed from the squad and placed back on the transfer list. Just days later, Rowe moved to FC Bologna, while Rabiot also switched to Serie A in early September.
