Kenan Yildiz is currently the shooting star of Serie A and is on the radar of all European top clubs. Juventus Turin is therefore making early efforts to bind the former Bayern talent to them long-term.
Juventus Turin has initiated talks with former Bayern jewel Kenan Yildiz for an early contract extension. This is reported by Tuttosport. With this, the fifth-placed team in Serie A wants to counter the great interest in the 20-year-old, particularly from the Premier League.
According to reports, negotiations for a new contract until 2030 with an option for an additional year have been ongoing for some time. The officials in Turin are confident about reaching an agreement soon – even though the player and club sides are said to still have different salary expectations.
Yildiz wants to join the ranks of top earners
The player’s side of the Turkish top talent is reportedly demanding about half a million more than what is stipulated in the existing offer from the Old Lady (over 4.5 million euros including bonuses).
This would make the winger the fourth highest-paid player in the team after Dusan Vlahović, Bremer and Jonathan David.
Currently, neither party is said to want to deviate from their positions. However, Yildiz is still under contract until 2029 anyway.
Juve wants to initiate new phase
The Bianconeri reportedly estimate the market value of their offensive jewel at around 100 million euros – a sum that would be manageable for interested Premier League clubs like Chelsea, who wanted to sign Yildiz already in the summer.
Therefore, with an eye to the future, the youngster’s contract running until 2029 should be extended as quickly as possible.
With the extension of the former FC Bayern talent, Juventus wants to initiate a new phase. Under the leadership of general director Damien Comolli, the team should become a top European team again after a long period of transition.
In addition to suitable signings, Comolli also has the task of binding key players to the club long-term. Stars like Bremer and Khépren Thuram are in focus here, but especially Yildiz. The 20-year-old has started in every competitive game for the Old Lady so far and has already recorded six scorer points.
