“She will be a real threat in the future”

Beau Greaves is increasingly finding her place among the professionals in darts and is also predicted to have a great future by world number 1 Luke Humphries.

Beau Greaves sends the darts world into a frenzy with a victory against Luke Littler. Her coup is the latest evidence of an impressive development that is far from over.

In the end, Luke Littler was left empty-handed at the PDC World Youth Championship – not because the 18-year-old rising star had a bad day, but because his opponent Beau Greaves simply acted even more composed.

“I threw two 10-darters and almost a 9-darter – and Beau still won, what a player!”, Littler showed himself impressed after his 5:6 defeat in the semifinal. The PDC world champion emphasized: “She deserves great respect, what a talent!”

Beau Greaves showed a composed performance against Luke Littler

The 21-year-old Greaves showed no nerves against Littler, who had just overwhelmed superstar Luke Humphries in the World Grand Prix final on Sunday. In the decider, the young Englishwoman threw an 11-darter: After scores of 177, 140 and 100 points, she coldly checked 84 points for the win.

Darts: Greaves dominates at will

While Greaves will face Dutchman Gian van Veen in the final on November 23rd, her sensational victory against Littler is further evidence of her remarkable development, which knows only one direction: upward.

A look at Greaves’ title collection speaks volumes: In the PDC Women’s Series, there has been no way around her for years. The right-hander with the nickname “Beau ‘n’ Arrow” has already collected a staggering 42 tournament wins – 14 alone in the current year. That’s not all: she has won 58 consecutive games on the tour.

And while Greaves has long dominated the Women’s Series at will, she is also increasingly gaining a foothold among the men. Right at the first tournament of the 2025 Challenge Tour, the PDC’s second most important tournament series after the Pro Tour, Greaves celebrated her first title win. Only two events later followed the second triumph.

Darts talent demands everything from Humphries

Through these successes, she moved into the participant field of the Players Championship, where she defeated Northern Irishman Josh Rock 6:5 in mid-February and thus achieved her first win on the Pro Tour.

She also made an impression at the UK Open 2025: In her tournament debut, Greaves reached the fourth round after victories over Stefan Bellmont, Rhys Griffin and Mickey Mansell. There she demanded everything from Luke Humphries, even leading 7:5 at one point, before the world number one decided the match 10:7 in his favor.

Just a few days ago, the 21-year-old then wrote darts history: As the second woman after Lisa Ashton, Greaves secured a PDC Tour Card, which entitles her to participate in all Pro Tour events.

Greaves makes history: “She deserves it”

She achieved this career milestone through her second place in the overall ranking of the PDC Development Tour. Since the first-placed player of the youth series, Cam Crabtree, already possesses a Tour Card, the main prize went to Greaves.

“I think she’s a great player and deserves it,” Humphries recently found words of praise for Greaves on the sidelines of the World Grand Prix at Sky Sports. “She’s been a really great player on the secondary tours this year. She’s good on the Challenge Tour, good on the Development Tour and will be a real threat to all players in the future. Not just to me, but to everyone.”

Whether Greaves will actually use the Tour Card, which would be valid for 2026 and 2027, is still open. Because she has also been active in World Darts Federation (WDF) events for years – and very successfully.

Three world champion titles at the WDF

Greaves’ participation in the PDC Darts World Championship 2026, for which she has been sportingly qualified as the leader of the Women’s Series since August, is also not finally confirmed.

Her first and so far only participation in the PDC’s season highlight was in 2023, when she had to concede defeat to William O’Connor 0:3 in the first round despite high finishes of 120 and 122.

Comeback at Ally Pally?

In the past two years, Greaves each declined participation in the PDC World Championship, as she was simultaneously registered as defending champion at the WDF World Championship.

The PDC had previously determined that female players participating in the WDF World Championship may not start in the subsequent PDC World Championship. So Greaves had to decide – and chose the WDF twice.

This time, however, many points to a comeback at Ally Pally. For example, Greaves declined all WDF appearances in the current year and concentrated on PDC events, which also suggests that she will accept the Tour Card.

In keeping with this, her sister Bobbi recently wrote on platform X: “My sister is now officially a Tour Card holder.”

This would clear the way for the next level. Greaves would henceforth regularly compete against the top stars – and could show that her coup against Luke Littler was not an isolated incident.
