Great celebration for Nathan Aspinall! The Englishman has won the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim, thus succeeding Peter Wright as the title holder. In the final, he defeated Dirk van Duijvenbode 8-6 in legs. This is his third title on the European Tour this year.

Dutchman misses second 9-darter
In the second leg, van Duijvenbode, who had defeated Martin Schindler in the round of 16, missed his second 9-darter of the weekend.
He managed seven perfect darts. When he missed the triple-15, the Dutchman was extremely frustrated and glared angrily at the board. Although he won the leg, he first had to watch as Aspinall pulled away to a 6-2 lead.
