Ahead of the Clásico between Real and Barça, there is trouble in Spain. At the center: superstar Lamine Yamal and his “disrespectful” statements.
On Sunday, it’s that time again: The Clásico between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona takes place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu (from 4:15 PM in the LIVE TICKER). Even before the match, arrows are flying back and forth. At the center: Barça superstar Lamine Yamal.
The youngster was a guest in an interview round of the Spanish Kings League prior to the match. The founder of the streamer league, ex-Barça star Gerard Piqué, jokingly asked Yamal whether the Royals were the equivalent of the streamer team Porcinos, which is allegedly favored by referees in the Kings League.

The 18-year-old’s response was quite clear. “Yes, they are favored and then they still complain,” said the offensive player.
Real professionals reportedly find Yamal’s statements disrespectful
When he was asked again later whether Real is favored, he did not want to confirm his previous statement and explained: “We’ll see.”
Meanwhile, Yamal’s statements are apparently not well received by the royals. According to Mundo Deportivo , the remarks were perceived as “stupid” and “disrespectful” and could also jeopardize the harmony in the Spanish national team.
According to the report, Real captain Dani Carvajal even intends to have a conversation with the Barça youngster after the duel on Sunday.
