Ricardo Pietreczko is eliminated in the quarterfinals of the European Darts Championship by a Dutch player.
Bitter elimination for Ricardo Pietreczko! “Pikachu” lost his quarterfinal match at the European Darts Championship in Dortmund against Danny Noppert with a score of 5:10.
The last remaining German player in the tournament had a double percentage of 29.4. He made too many small mistakes throughout the match, which rarely allowed him to reach the finish area.
Curiously: His Dutch opponent ends up with the same checkout percentage, but with twice as many checkout attempts (34).
After three legs, Noppert checked out 130 for the first break of the match. “The Freeze” won four consecutive legs at one point to take a 5:1 lead.
Pietreczko managed to close the gap to 4:6 and 5:7 at times, but the number ten in the Order of Merit then won three consecutive legs again to secure victory.
The 31-year-old Pietreczko finished with an average of 90.29 points, while his Dutch opponent threw an average of 95.22 points.
