Two days after the dismissal of coach Igor Tudor, Italy’s record champion Juventus Turin took a first step out of the crisis. Under interim coach Massimiliano Brambilla, the traditional club celebrated a 3:1 (1:1) victory over Udinese Calcio on Wednesday evening, thus ending a negative streak of almost seven weeks with eight games without a win.
Star striker Dusan Vlahovic scored early from a penalty for the Old Lady (5th minute), after the Serbian had been fouled. The supposed 2:0, again by Vlahovic, was disallowed due to an offside position (16th minute). Nicoló Zaniolo (45th+1) equalized just before halftime, Federico Gatti (67th) and Kenan Yildiz (90th+6) from a penalty ensured the well-deserved victory.

After four games without scoring and three consecutive competitive defeats, Turin had dismissed former Juve professional Tudor on Monday. The Croatian was only in office for seven months.
