Alpine skiing: Dürr prevents German debacle

In the World Cup giant slalom, Lena Dürr is the only German to make it into the second run. Slalom world champion Camille Rast is in the lead.

The German ski racers still have a lot of room for improvement at the start of the year.

Lena Dürr is in 13th place after the first run of the World Cup giant slalom in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia; Her gap to the best time of slalom world champion Camille Rast from Switzerland is already 1.89 seconds.
