Biathlon: Sprint must be postponed
Weather forecasts are causing postponements at the Rennsteig. Franziska Preuß and co. have to start earlier.

Franziska Preuß will have to compete one day earlier than planned at the biathletes’ home World Cup in Oberhof. As announced by the international federation IBU, the women’s sprint, scheduled for Friday afternoon, has been moved forward to Thursday afternoon (2:15 pm).
The reason for this are storm gusts of over 80 kilometers per hour predicted for Friday at the Rennsteig. The men’s sprint will start on Thursday at 11:30 am, almost three hours earlier than originally planned due to the rescheduling of the women’s race.
After the weather-related rest day on Friday, all competitions are scheduled to proceed as planned over the weekend. The men’s pursuit (12:00 pm) and the women’s relay (2:25 pm) are scheduled for Saturday, while the men’s relay (11:00 am) and the women’s pursuit (2:30 pm/all ARD and Eurosport) are scheduled for Sunday.
