The 20-year-old Prevc, who surprisingly hadn’t won twice recently in Zao, celebrated her 34th career victory and her twelfth this winter.

Ski Jumping: Friday misses podium by four meters

With jumps of 129.0 and 128.0 m (279.4 points), she was ahead of Canadian Abigail Strate (273.9) and Anna Odine Ström from Norway (260.3). Vice World Champion Friday (253.2) was equivalent to four meters short of the podium.

The second-best German was Agnes Reisch in eighth place. Record world champion Katharina Schmid, winner in Sapporo in 2023, had to settle for 14th place.

Another individual competition will take place on Sunday on the Okurayama ski jump, before the Olympic dress rehearsal in Willingen takes place the following weekend.
