Former world champion Luke Humphries hits a 9-darter at the World Masters – the first on TV this year.

Luke Humphries has hit the first 9-darter on TV this year. At the World Masters in Milton Keynes, the 2024 World Champion achieved the perfect leg in the round of 16 against Luke Woodhouse (4:3 in sets).
In the 2nd set, Humphries hit the eighth 9-darter of his career to go 2-0 up in sets.

After two 180s, “Cool Hand Luke” chose the classic route via triple-20, triple-19, and finally the throw at double-12 to complete the perfect game.
The fans celebrated loudly, Humphries flexed his muscles and shouted out his joy. Opponent Woodhouse grinned and congratulated him fairly.
In 2025, Humphries had achieved 9-darters in both the Premier League and the Grand Slam. The Darts World Championship for “Cool Hand Luke” had already ended in the quarter-finals against eventual finalist Gian van Veen.
