Is the scandal on the manipulation of the Norwegian ski jumpers? In addition to the suits, bonds should also have been cheated on.
The manipulation scandal around the Norwegian ski jumpers obviously expands more and more. In addition to inadmissible suits, there should also have been unauthorized changes to the bonds.
The Norwegian broadcaster TV 2 and the picture have a photo, which shows a changed bond that should belong to world champion Marius Lindvik. The recording dates from March 2, the day on which Lindvik became world champion on the normal hill – in front of German Andreas Wellinger.
And there are allegations against Marius Lindvik
According to experts, the left side is modified and sanded down in the bond shown. This in turn would have resulted in the fact that the same would have been easier.
In addition, the binding on the relevant ski should not be screwed symmetrically, which enables the jumper to bring more pressure on the outside of the ski and thus to get it easier to get into the V position. This in turn increases the wing and enables a better flight phase.
There had already been rumors during the World Cup in Trondheim that the bonds were cheated, but there have been no evidence. The bonds are not allowed to grind during a current season.
“I saw many suspicious things”
In the meantime, several nations have complained to the World Association FIS and demand that the topic will be informed as soon as possible. The association is now investigating.
The Norwegian ski jumping trainer Magnus Brevig, who has already been suspended, fought against the allegations in TV 2 : “This is not Lindvik’s ski. Lindviks bonds were checked by material control before jumping. ” The Polish trainer Thomas Turnbichler, on the other hand, is skeptical. “I saw a lot of suspicious things,” he said, reporting of Norwegian jumpers who would have entered material control without skiing.
The vertebrae in ski jumping was a manipulation video. To see in it: Brevig and attraction manufacturer Adrian, who was there, to take a jump suit apart completely and to sew it up again.
As a result, the team had admitted to manipulated their suits at the World Cup in their own country.
