Johannes Thingnes and Tarjei Bö end their career at the end of the season. The race plan is even adjusted for this.
The biathlon world association (IBU) has adapted the racing program at the World Cup final due to the upcoming farewell of the Bö-Brüder.
As the IBU decided in consultation with the athlete committee, the order of the two final mass starts is exchanged on the Holmenkollen.

According to this, the women around the overall world-cup-cup of Franziska Preuß will start on March 23 at 1:15 p.m., only then starts at 3:40 p.m. the men’s mass start with Johannes Thingnes and Tarjei Bö.
The change aims at “the attention of the mass start of women and the fights for the crystal balls and to guarantee Tarjei and Johannes Thingnes Bö after their last World Cup competition,” said the World Association.
