“My entire body is almost poisoned”-seasonal out of biathlon ace

Anna Gandler will no longer compete this winter

Biathlete Anna Gandler draws an early line. Due to massive health problems, your season has already ended.

For Austria’s biathlon hope Anna Gandler, the season has ended earlier than planned. A stubborn flu is the main reason, as the 24-year-old now revealed in an interview with the Kleine Zeitung .

“One of the biggest problems was sleeping because my body was never able to regenerate properly. And I’ve pulled that since June,” said Gandler, who was recently slowed down by illnesses.

It is anything but positive about your health. “I still have to wait a few results, but as it looks, my whole organic system does not run the way it should, such as the liver. My entire body is virtually poisoned because it no longer regenerates itself, it no longer comes after and is overwhelmed,” said Gandler.

Biathlete ended season: in the Czech Republic it went downhill

Until the end, the biathlete tried her luck and, after surviving influenza, also started the trip to Nove Mesto (Czech Republic). “Only after an intensive training was completely downhill,” she said.

Gandler feels fit again, but her doctors have imposed a complete ban on sports so that her illness will not be delayed.

“I shed some tears because it was not a good time,” Gandler looked back. “But I have been able to complete with this nothing in the past few days. I have to give myself the peace, drink a lot, take little sugar with me and eat me in a gluten -free feed.”

Gandler, whose best result this winter was a sixth place in the single in Ruhpolding, did not lose her optimism anyway: “Other athletes have already stopped their seasons and had mega season the following year, maybe that’s the miracle cure.”
