FC Barcelona: Objection to new establishment unsuccessful

The Catalan’s previously canceled game against CA Osasuna will take place on March 27th. Barcelona’s opponent also complained about the game date.

FC Barcelona’s appeal against the new setting of the league game against CA Osasuna has been rejected. The Appeals Commission of the Spanish Football Association decided on Thursday that March 27th remains as a day at the appointment. The game originally scheduled for March 8 had been canceled after the death of the Barca Klukluktorzt Carles MiƱarro Garcia.

The association of coach Hansi Flick had appealed because some professionals after their international trip “did not have enough time to rest”. Players like the Brazilian Raphinha and Uruguayer Ronald Araujo will compete with their national teams in South America shortly before the new appointment. The appointment to the national team is “not a sufficient reason to move a game if the team affected has enough players to play the game,” said the appellate commission.

Barcelona’s opponent Ca Osasuna had also appealed because the rest period until the next game at Athletic Bilbao is less than 72 hours. This game was now moved from March 28 to March 30th.
