German jumpers disappoint
The German ski jumpers missed the podium at the big Slovenian flight show at the World Cup final in Planica, for Markus Eisenbichler the dream of a big career qualification on Sunday. In the home win of Domen Prevc in a spectacular ski flying, the German record holder Eisenbichler only came to 28th place after a thick mistake and is most likely no longer at the best 30 season final.
The 33 -year -old Eisenbichler, even eleventh after the first round (216.5 m), wanted too much in the second attempt and landed too early (193.5). The career of the six -time world champion ends on Saturday flying.
Wellinger becomes the best German
The best DSV eagle was Andreas Wellinger on Friday, who was sixth with flights to 227.5 and 225.5 m (430.1 points). Karl Geiger, in 2020 on the Letalnica ski flight world champion, came to seventh. Pius Paschke became tenth. In the qualification on Thursday, Wellinger, Paschke and Eisenbichler had occupied places one to three.
There is a team flying on Saturday on Saturday, and on Sunday with another single competition of the top 30 of the overall World Cup, the final act of a long season (9.30 a.m./ ARD and Eurosport ) followed.
