Dorival Júnior is no longer a national coach of the Brazilian national football team. The 62-year-old has to resign after the 1: 4 bankruptcy against Argentina.
The Brazilian Football Association CBF has announced the dismissal of national coach Dorival Júnior.
The first reports on an upcoming separation were already circulating at noon, now the CBF confirmed the decision.
“The Brazilian Football Association announces that coach Dorival Júnior will no longer look after the Brazilian national team. The management thanks him and wishes him good luck for the continuation of his career. From now on, the CBF will work to find a successor for him,” says a press release.
Brazil bankruptcy in Argentina
After a year and 16 games, Júnior’s term of office ends as a national coach of Selecao.
Most recently, Brazil lost 1: 4 against world champion Argentina, in the South American World Cup qualification the Selecao is still on course (fourth place).
