The gripping final around Franziska Preuss and Lou JeanMonnot are still enthusiastic – even on the side of the inferior French.
Even over a week later, the biathlon world is still under the spell of the magical moment around Franziska Preuss and her competitor Lou JeanMonnot.
“The assignment was phenomenal. Franziska and Lou had a high-class struggle before the last race. It was stratospheric biathlon sport,” said Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Millet.

The Olympic champion raved in an interview with Stade 2 : “For me it will remain a historical race that we will always talk about.”
Would JeanMonnot have ended up in front without a fall?
The duel for victory in the overall World Cup was decided on the last round after a long season – with the better end for Prussia.
Her colleague fell shortly before the end of the race – she could have prevailed in the “gripping” competition, said Fillon -Millet.
“Lou had more than enough reserves to be in front, so it’s cruel for her. But that’s sport,” said the teammate of the inferior.
Also because JeanMonnot presented herself as a fair loser and happy second despite the dramatic circumstances, Fillon-Millet also sees a winner in her: “Even if Lou did not win the crystal ball, I congratulate her because it was incredible.”
