The Premier League is a guest in Berlin. It is the first match day beyond the British Isles for the largest darts stars in 2025 – and there is an important change: the start time.
While otherwise German time is started at 8 p.m., the 9th matchday in the Uber Arena begins an hour earlier at 7 p.m. (live on free TV and free stream on Sport1). The reason is very simple and is supposed to accommodate players and fans on site.
Premier League: Darts association wants to protect stars and fans on site
Since Germany is one hour ahead of the British Islands, nothing would change for the German and British TV viewers, but everything in the hall would be an hour later. This also means that the players would only come out of the hall an hour later than usual. The PDC would like to save the stars, the next tournament of PDC Europe will be played on Friday in Riesa.
The Darts Association also wants to spare the mostly German fans and do not send them home too late. In addition, experience has shown that the mood towards 11 p.m. during darts evenings. The earlier start actually only has advantages, even if the TV viewers have to switch on an hour earlier.
That is why the warm-up show ” Madhouse-The Sport1 Darts Show ” begins at 6:15 p.m. and this time can only be seen in the stream on Sport1.de and in the Sport1 app or on YouTube.
