Ski jumping zoff escalated in Poland – and has consequences

The German ski jumper Anna Hollandt takes a longer break due to mental problems. In an emotional statement, it provides deep insights.

After a settlement of the Polish ski jumper with their ex-coach, the association speaks up. The “rumbling” behavior should follow consequences.

The Zoff of the Polish ski jumper is getting bigger – and now also has followed. After Dawid Kubacki and Aleksander Zniszczol most recently surprised with strong criticism of ex-coach Thomas Thurnbichler, Wojciech Gumny has now announced the Vice President of the Ski jumping association consequences for the “rumbling” behavior of the stars.

“With such things you should contact the board or the president and address it, but not on TV,” criticized Gumny via Sport.pl : “Whether it is true or not, something like that should be discussed with the other person and not discussed in the media. That is irresponsible.”

Statements are “unacceptable and reprehensible”

“Such statements on television are simply unacceptable and reprehensible,” he made clear and announced consequences. “There are seven people on the board who have to meet and discuss what consequences we draw from it.”

What happened? The former four-hill tour winner Kubacki had billed with his former coach shortly before the season ended in Planica.

“For two and a half years we did not manage to get him to bring some rest into the coaching work. And so we had big problems. That caused a lot of vertebrae,” was his criticism at Eurosport .

Hard criticism: “borders on a crime”

Zniszczol had hit the same notch. “In my opinion, the atmosphere was not the way it should have been,” the Pole had criticized: “In preparation, something was wrong, there was no system. It would certainly have been difficult if it had stayed.”

Previously, the Polish association had separated from the Austrian trainer after three years. Above all, his dealing with Kamil Stoch was a problem. This trained alone with an individual coach for some time – which led to disputes.

“I don’t want to go into detail, but what he ( Thurnbichler, editor’s note ) did to make life difficult to make life difficult,” Kubacki chose more than clear words.
