The fans celebrate Schindler – until Aspionall the sack close to the sack

After that it seemed to go, Schindler had to survive several matchdarts of his counterpart. But while the German suddenly got better, Aspinall showed nerves. Schindler won three legs in a row, the German fans celebrated him with speech choirs – before his English opponent closed the sack.

The bottom line was a 3-dart average of 93.83, Aspinall came up with a value of 104.11 despite the weak phase.

The final day had started for Schindler with a convincing performance. Against the Belgian Dimitri van den Bergh, he delivered a sparkling clean 6-0 in the round of 16, and Peter Wright (6: 2) was not a big hurdle.

Aspinall meets Stephen Bunting in the final, who had turned off Luke Humphries in the semifinals. A year ago, Schindler won his first title on the PDC tour in Riesa.
