Munich celebrates a sovereign victory in the league. Now Red Stern Belgrade is waiting on Tuesday.
Bayern Munich’s basketball players celebrated a successful dress rehearsal in front of the Euroleague Play-in tournament. The team of former national coach Gordon Herbert prevailed in the Bundesliga 94:83 (54:42) at the EWE Baskets Oldenburg and thus collected confidence for the international stage. On Tuesday (8:30 p.m./Magenta Sport) Munich will meet Red Star Belgrade, the winner moves into the decision -making game for moving into the quarter -finals.
Should Munich win against Belgrade on Tuesday, the loser of the duel between Real Madrid and Paris basketball would wait on Friday. The winner of this duel secures the last ticket for the play-offs, where the best-of-five mode is about participating in this year’s Final Four in Abu Dhabi (May 23 to May 25).
In the BBL table, Munich lies on the top of the table after the 20th win in the 27th game. The best thrower of Bayern was world champion Andreas Obst with 17 points, at Oldenburg Justin Jaworski convinced with 26 points.
