Luke Littler gives a cryptic statement after his end at the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich. Apparently the world champion Germany initially wants to avoid.
After his missed finals at the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich, Luke Littler lit up with a brief message.
“I shouldn’t have been in Munich, but I still had to play,” wrote the 18-year-old Darts star shortly after his surprising departure in his Instagram story.
Luke Littler resigned in Munich in the semifinals
At the tournament in the Bavarian capital, Littler failed 4: 7 in the semi-finals to Gian van Veen, who showed a gala performance. “The next one for me in Germany is Dortmund and I’m happy to say that,” Littler continued and said his next appearance.
Littler only again at the Darts European Championship?
In Dortmund, however, the Darts European Championship will not take place until the end of October. In between there are other European Tour events and the World Cup of Darts in the Federal Republic in June. Apparently Littler all want to leave these tournaments out.
On Easter Monday, Littler had already stood in the quarter -finals shortly before the end. Against audience favorite Peter Wright, he barely saved himself with a 6: 5 success in the semi-finals.
In the end, Michael van Gerwen secured the tournament victory in Munich. The Dutch won the final against his compatriot Gian van Veen 8: 5.
