Early crowning of an impressive season so far: Kenny Atkinson was elected to the head coach of the North American basketball profile NBA during his first season at the Cleveland Cavaliers. According to Bill Fitch (1975/76) and Mike Brown (2008/09), the 57-year-old is the third head coach of the Cavs, who succeeds.
Cleveland had blossomed into the best main round team of the Eastern Conference under the leadership of Atkinson.

At a media vote, Atkinson received 59 out of 100 votes and prevailed against Dennis Schröder’s coach JB Bickerstaff (Detroit Pistons) and IME Udoka (Houston Rockets). No wonder: Cleveland only managed three winning people that lasted twelve or more games this season.
At the beginning, Mitchell and Co. had even won 15 games in a row – only for the second time in their club history. In the first play-off round, the Cavaliers also set up the most one-sided series of the NBA against Miami Heat with 122 points.
Against Indiana, the Cavaliers lost game one of the semi -final series in the east, game two takes place on Wednesday night.
