Toni Kroos sees the best midfielder in the world in a professional from FC Barcelona. The long -time superstar of Real Madrid simply raved about lides from Spanish international Pedri in his podcast weeks ago.
In his eyes, he is “currently the best in this position. He not only scores goals, he not only prepares them – he delivers solutions,” said Kroos.

He further nobles the 22 -year -old: “I looked at what Pedri is doing this season: In the Champions League, he plays an average of 52 opponents per game, in La Liga there are even more – he overcomes 59 opponents per game! He leaves 11 to 12 defenders per game – that is the most difficult thing a midfielder can do.”
Pedri more important than Yamal?
For Kroos, the young Spaniard is already irreplaceable at FC Barcelona. “In my eyes, such a pedri is almost more important than a Yamal than a Raphinha, as Lewandowski. Pedri came from Las Palmas to Barca for a transfer fee of 23 million euros in 2019. Since then he has been on the pitch for the Catalans at 197 games. This season alone, the Spanish international comes to 33 league games and posted four goals and four templates.
In 2021, Pedri won the cup with the Catalans before winning the Spanish league in 2023. FC Barcelona is currently still in the race for the championship, but has good cards to secure the title win with table place one and four points on the archrival Real Madrid.
