NBA sensation! Dallas Mavericks win Draft lottery

After the excitement around Luka Doncic’s trade, fate means well with the Dallas Mavericks.

Luck for chaos: Despite very small chances, the Dallas Mavericks have won the NBA’s draft lottery and can thus secure College-Star Cooper Flag. A good three and a half months after the excitement around Luka Doncic’s trade and a few weeks after the end in the Play-in tournament, fate meant well with the club.

“I am so happy for the Mavericks fans,” said CEO Rick Welts: “I only came to Dallas on January 1 of this year. On February 1, we paralyzed the Internet with the Doncic trade. What happened today-I can’t imagine a better day for MAVS fans.”

The chance for Dallas was on the top pick at 1.8 percent – but it worked. It is pretty sure that the Mavericks at the Draft in New York (June 25/26) will select the 18 -year -old Forward Flagg from the Duke Blue Devils.

14 teams part of the NBA lottery

The 14 teams that the NBA playoffs did not reach this year took part in the lottery. The round of 16 Houston Rockets was also due to previous transfer agreements. After the Mavericks, the San Antonio Spurs are number two when the talents are distributed, followed by the Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets and Utah Jazz.

“It was a hard year for us, as we all know,” said four-time Allstar Rolando Blackman, who was on site for Dallas at the draw on Monday in Chicago. “But the most important thing is that we get the chance to further develop our franchise.”

The Mavericks had surprisingly handed over Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in early May, General Manager Nico Harrison has been criticizing since then.
