The Indiana Pacers secure another victory in the NBA Playoffs. Pascal Siakam stands out.
Led by Pascal Siakam, the Indiana Pacers also won the second semi-final of the NBA against the New York Knicks. At Madison Square Garden, the Pacers won 114-109, with Siakam being his team’s top scorer with 39 points.
With two more wins in the upcoming home games, Indiana can already decide the best-of-seven series.
Siakam raves about his team
“We are a team, it doesn’t matter who scores the points. That’s what I love so much about this team,” Siakam said: “My teammates kept finding me, in the next game it could be someone else again. That makes us special.”
In a long-balanced game, the Pacers made a ten-point run at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Knicks came close again, but their top scorer Jalen Brunson (36 points) missed a three-pointer for the equalizer, Myles Turner in return secured the decision with two successful free throws.
Turner (16), Tyrese Haliburton (14), Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard (12 each) and T.J. McConnell (10) also scored in double figures for Indiana.
The winner of this series will face Oklahoma City Thunder or the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Finals. There, OKC with the German professional Isaiah Hartenstein and MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads 2-0.
