The Phoenix Suns of the NBA have hired Jordan Ott as their new head coach. The franchise from the North American professional basketball league announced this on Friday. The 40-year-old Ott was previously an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
He succeeds coach Mike Budenholzer, who was dismissed in April after a disappointing season. The team from the US state of Arizona had missed the play-off and play-in spots in the Western Conference despite stars Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.
