Topmodel Claudia Schiffer has discovered football: The 54-year-old is taking over shares in the English Premier League club FC Brentford together with her husband Matthew Vaughn.
Schiffer has already shown herself on Instagram in a fan shirt of the club from London.

“I was lucky enough to present the World Cup trophy together with Pelé. He told me that football is a beautiful game. I am very happy to now officially be part of a club – and to experience all the special moments and the fascination of this sport up close,” Schiffer wrote.
At the 2006 World Cup, she carried the trophy into the stadium in Munich together with Pelé before the opening match between Germany and Costa Rica (4:2); previously, she was involved as an ambassador in the German World Cup bid.

Schiffer and the English filmmaker Vaughn are acquiring a minority stake through the joint production company MARV, as Brentford announced. “I’m starting a new chapter in my life,” said Vaughn, who has been married to Schiffer since 2002. Both have three children together and live in England.
In the FC Brenford’s statement, Schiffer is referred to as “Lady Vaughn”. Schiffer has held this courtesy title since April, when her husband was elevated to the personal nobility. It is not known how many percentage Schiffer and her husband acquired and at what price.
Brentford has been playing in the Premier League since 2021, and last season the club reached tenth place. The squad includes, among others, the German attacker Kevin Schade.
