“The examinations carried out revealed complex facial fractures in our player. Ambulance on the field! Violent collision causes shock moment
In the 46th minute, Dogan collided violently with Galatasaray striker Ahmed Kutucu after a long ball into the penalty area. Kutucu was moving towards the goal, eyes on the ball, when both players jumped up at the same moment and collided head-on without slowing down. Both fell to the ground and remained there.
Kutucu briefly lost consciousness afterwards but was later able to leave the pitch independently, while Dogan, in great pain, was carried off on a stretcher and taken to the hospital. An ambulance had already driven onto the field.
