The main shareholder of the Turin agreed 15 million euros. A final decision will be made in summer.

The discharge of coach Thiago Motta has further tightened the economic situation for Italy’s football record champions Juventus Turin. The Holding Exor, the main shareholder of the listed club, had promised 15 million euros for a future capital increase, Juve said. Motta, which has a contract by 2027, continues to receive a annual salary from the indebted Turiners.

Due to unexpected events, to which Motta’s discharge also counts, the finances have deviated from the forecast for the financial year, the association now wrote. Therefore, the capital increase could be necessary. A final decision should be made after the season.

Juventus has made losses of 882 million euros in the past five seasons. In the 2023/24 season alone, in which the old lady did not play in the Champions League, it was 199 million euros. The club is noted on the Milan stock exchange.
