The former series champion beat Rasta Vechta in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) 83:58 (44:29) and improved his chances of moving into the Play-in tournament with the twelfth win of the season in the 25th game. The direct qualification for the play-off quarter-finals is still possible.
Alba, which had recently lost four times in a row in the Euroleague and twice in a row in the BBL, continues to be table-14. However, the Berliners have the same balance as the MHP Giant Ludwigsburg (11th), Telekom Baskets Bonn (12th) and the EWE Baskets Oldenburg (13./All 12:13). Bonn defeated the Oldenburgers on Sunday despite a very weak final area (17:31) 81:74 (45:31) and pulled the opponent the same. Vechta (14:12) is seventh.
