Cup winner Syntainics MBC secures the series against Meister Bayern Munich by a clear victory in play-in against Oldenburg.
Cup winner Syntainics MBC won the “final” against EWE Baskets Oldenburg for the last playoff place in the Basketball Bundesliga.
The team from Weißenfels prevailed 110: 95 (51:42) and now meets Master and main round winner Bayern Munich. At the final Four of the German BBL Cup, the MBC had cleared FCBB out of the way in the semifinals-and at the end of April the club also caused major problems for Munich with a narrow 88:90 defeat.
Playoffs start on Saturday
The best thrower at the MBC was Charles Callison (29 points), at Oldenburg Seth Hinrichs (23) could not prevent this.
The playoffs start on Saturday. The opening date for the final series is June 15th. The MBC had lost in the first Play-in game against Alba Berlin, Oldenburg won against the Rostock Seawolves and thus earned the duel on Thursday evening.
