Trier storms into the quarterfinals
The Bundesliga newcomer cannot be stopped even in the BBL Cup. Almost everything is working, especially from the three-point line.
The basketball players of VET-Concept Gladiators Trier continue to attract attention. The Bundesliga newcomer also won his sixth competitive game of the season on Friday evening. After the 107:90 (58:46) against Telekom Baskets Bonn, the Moselstadt team is in the quarterfinals of the BBL Cup. The outstanding performer was point guard Eli Brooks, who scored 24 points and sank six of his eight three-point attempts.

In the league, the Gladiators recently equaled the starting record of a promoted team. Four wins at the start had previously only been achieved by the Würzburg Baskets in the 2015/2016 season and the Rostock Seawolves (2022/2023). If Trier also wins on Friday (8:00 PM/Dyn) at EWE Baskets Oldenburg, it would mean the sole record.
