Martin Schindler reached the round of 16 at the Belgian Darts Open. German number 1 defeated local hero Dimitri van den Bergh with 6: 3 in the legs.
“The Wall” caught a good start and break van den Bergh directly in the first leg. After a 2-0 lead, the game developed into a narrow race, van den Bergh came up to 2: 3. But then Schindler was able to break away decisively and win two legs in a row.

Van den Bergh came back to 3: 5, but Schindler converted the first match dart to victory. In the end, he had over 96 points on average and a double quota of 46 percent – strong values of the German.

In the round of 16, he now meets Mike de Decker – another Belgian. The game takes place on Sunday.
Schindler is then the only German who is still there, in the afternoon Ricardo Pietreczko failed to Dave Chisnall.
