Biathlon: Franziska Preuss left prematurely

Franziska Preuß misses the season in Nove Mesto and treats himself to a break – in the fight for the shaky leadership in the overall World Cup, it may come at the right time.

Biathlon world champion Franziska Preuß has to worry about the victory overall World Cup after disappointing results in Nove Mesto – and now protects her strength for the final sprint of the great mission.

After the 13th place in the persecution on Saturday, Preuss will leave the Czech Republic early on Sunday morning.

“That had been agreed for a long time,” said the 30-year-old in the ARD, the little break had already been arranged at the World Cup in Lenzerheide: “I will drive home in the morning and attack with a fresh head in Pokljuka again.” Selina Grotian, Johanna Puff, Julia Tannheimer and Sophia Schneider will contest today’s season.

Prussia’s worst pursuer hooks up

At the pursuer on Saturday, Preuss had made three shooting errors, the gap to her worst competitor Lou JeanMonnot Schmolz. The French woman took fourth place on Saturday.

JeanMonnot was more than halving her gap to Preuss in Nove Mesto, and she was 92 points behind the persecution world champion before the World Cup start.

The men’s season starts at 1:50 p.m., for women it goes to the trail (LIVETICKER) from 5.40 p.m. At the end of the season, the stations on the Pokljuka (13th to 16th March) and at the Holmenkollen in Oslo (March 21 to 23).
