Biathlon live today on free TV, stream & ticker – the pursuit of the men in Oberhof

Philipp Nawrath was able to shine in the sprint in Oberhof

For the biathletes in Oberhof, the pursuit race is on the agenda. Can Philipp Nawrath defend his podium finish?

At Grenzadler in Oberhof, the next biathlon race is scheduled. After Thursday’s sprint, the men will compete in the pursuit race on Saturday (from 12 PM in the LIVE TICKER).

The starting position for the Germans is excellent. Among the top 16 athletes in the sprint, four DSV athletes finished. Philipp Nawrath even made it to the podium with second place.

For the 32-year-old, the aim will be to defend his strong starting position. No easy task, as strong athletes like Johannes Dale-Skjevdal and Sebastian Samuelsson are lurking right behind him.

The Italian Tommaso Giacomel will be the first to start the race, having moved countless people on Thursday by dedicating his victory to his late biathlon colleague Sivert Guttorm Bakken.

Besides Nawrath, the German team has other strong contenders. Philipp Horn starts the pursuit race as seventh, and David Zobel (twelfth) and Lucas Fratzscher (16th place) are also well-positioned.
