Darts: German audience cheers on Aspinall

Although the game took place in Germany, “Nathan Aspinall” cheers were heard from the audience again and again.

“Pietreczko can’t get a foot in the door in this phase,” said DAZN commentator Martin Kern after the 2:5 in legs. “Pietreczko is really pissed. He will of course be angry that the audience here keeps singing for Nathan Aspinall,” Kern assessed the situation.

Just like Aspinall calls, “Ricardo Pietreczko” was chanted in the arena again and again.

Aspinall: “My throw feels like trash”

The Englishman Aspinall played 92.42 points in the three-dart average, Pietreczko was just below with 91.78 points. The German had already lost 0:4 in sets against Aspinall at the PDC World Championship.

In the quarter-finals Aspinall meets compatriot Chris Dobey, who prevailed with 6:3 in legs against “Goldfinger” Andrew Gilding and played an impressive three-dart average of 110.84 points.
