The next Belgian was one too much for Martin Schindler. Germany’s number 1 failed in the round of 16 at the Belgian Darts Open at the local hero Mike de Decker with 3: 6 in the legs.
Schindler fails on de Decker
Against de Decker, Schindler ran behind almost the entire duration of the game.
After a balanced start, Decker only pulled 4: 2 and later 5: 3 before he finished the match in the ninth leg with a throw on the double 8.
Schindler achieved the only high finish of the game with a 126, but was left behind in scoring against de Decker (98.4 to 102.81).
With this, the Belgian always got opportunities for checkout.
