Luke Littler and Luke Humphries form the English team at the World Cup of Darts. Before the tournament, the giant duo receives an announcement from Peter Wright.
They are the overwhelming favorites at the World Cup of Darts: Luke Humphries and Luke Littler will compete together for England as number one and two in the world. Before the tournament, Scotsman Peter Wright made an announcement towards the two stars.
“Let them talk about the two of them. We may not meet them until the final anyway. Hopefully it will come to that – and then we’ll show them who’s boss,” Wright said in an interview with the portal Dartsnews.

Wright praises teammate Anderson
In his career, “Snakebite” has already won the World Cup twice, in 2019 together with Gary Anderson and in 2021 with John Henderson. For the 54-year-old, it is always something special to compete for his country in the team tournament.
“Ask any player what it’s like to represent their country – and to play with one of the greatest Scottish dart players like Gary Anderson,” Wright explained and also revealed that Anderson makes him nervous because he looks up to his compatriot: “He is brilliant.”
Scotland is vice world champion
Accordingly, Wright is very ambitious. Last year, the Scottish team reached the final and had to admit defeat to Wales with Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton.
“I’m getting ready for the Matchplay, for the World Championship – and of course for the World Cup,” Wright reported and added: “Me and Gaz (Gary Anderson, editor’s note). Training is going well, but I want it to be visible on stage too.”
