The European Darts Trophy was held for the last time in 2018. At the time, Michael van Gerwen won 8: 3 against James Wade in the final.
The tournament in Göttingen is organized in the locomotive hall. The top 16 of the world rankings are automatically eligible for all events of the European Tour. In addition, there are the top 16 players of the Pro Tour order of merit, who move directly into the second round.
There are also ten winners of a qualification tournament for the owner of a tour card, four national qualifiers, one player from the Nordic & Baltic region and an Eastern European qualifying.
