Darts: van Gerwen confirms unveiling – “that was a little disaster for me”

Michael van Gerwen said in detail about his injury, because of which he had missed the eighth matchday of the Darts Premier League (live on TV on Sport1 and in the live stream) in Berlin.

The Dutch said in the Sport1 Darts Show Madhouse that he had suffered from the “neck and shoulder area” that arose at short notice. MVG confirmed the information from his compatriot Vincent van der Voort, who had revealed that he had injured himself when trying on a T-shirt: “Vincent was right.”

Van Gerwen had canceled his participation in Berlin shortly before the event began and thus caused disappointment with the 12,000 German fans. “I was hurt and couldn’t play, that was a terrible thing. But what should I do? It is what it is,” added the record winner of the darts’ elite league.

“I couldn’t do anything that day. It was a little disaster for me,” he pushed after.

At least the injury had no long -term consequences. A week later, van Gerwen was able to compete again. On matchday nine, he got two points by winning Chris Dobey in the quarter -finals. The next points are expected to be in Rotterdam on Thursday.
