The Darts World Championship final enjoys great popularity on TV!

Luke Littler confidently wins the Darts World Championship title for the second time in a row. In the final against Gian van Veen, however, it became clear several times how great the pressure on the 18-year-old's shoulders was.

The Darts World Championship final between Luke Littler and Gian van Veen (7:1) brought SPORT1 excellent ratings.

A total of two million people tuned in for the final at Alexandra Palace, with the private broadcaster recording a market share of nine percent.

Darts World Championship: SPORT1 achieves top TV ratings

With regard to young target groups, SPORT1 can be pleased with a market share of 21.9 percent. 990,000 viewers were between 14 and 49 years old. In this age group, the broadcaster was at the top on Saturday.

The reach of two million meant a peak value for SPORT1 at the last World Championship. The record from the previous year was narrowly missed.

For Littler’s first World Championship final against Michael van Gerwen, 2.19 million people tuned in, with a market share of 23.3 percent.
