A career end can Hurt – Especialy when it does not Happen Entirely Voluntary. For Austrian Teresa Grüner, The Pain Associated with this Difficult Decision is almost palpable.
“The sun is setting on my career as a ski racer. It still feels unreal. This Farewell Breaks My Heart – Because Deep Down I would still like to continue racing,” Green Said in an emotional statement on Instagram.

Grüner: “Can’t Take the Risk Anymore”
Grüner was considered a great talent, but was never able to show her skills at the world cup level Because she was repeatedly thwarted by serious injuries.
“My Body Can’t Take the Risk Anymore. After Years of Operations, Setbacks and Rehab, I have finallity Again, Like Going Down the Stairs Or Go Walk Without Pain. I No Longer Take That For Granted,” She Shared Her Painful Experiences from Recent Years.
In the Spring, The Austrian had a cyst removed and a meniscus injury repaired. The many injuries ultimately forced green to slope up her skis.
Green Says Goodbye Emotionally
At the Age of 17, Green Was Abe to Take Second Place in the Giant Slalom at the National Championships in Seefeld. A Year Later, She Won Her First Fis Cup Race in Slalom. Afterwards, so Knew How to Impress with Top Positions in the Technical Disciplines, But the Big Breakthrough Never Came.

“Heart and Body Don’t Speak the Same Language”
So green Remembers “Pain, Risks, Endless Rehab and Tears”. Although she would have Liked a Different Ending, she is convinced that she has Taken the right step by ending her career. “My Heart and My Body No Longer Speak the Same Language. It Hurts to Accept That And Let Go Of My Dream, But I know It’s the right decision for my health,” She Clarified.
