The former teammate of Kai Havertz must answer in court.
Ghanaian national football player Thomas Partey has been charged in the UK with alleged five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
British police reported this on Friday. Three women had filed complaints against the former player of top club FC Arsenal.

Partey’s lawyers stated that their client “denies all allegations against him.” He has “fully cooperated” with the police during the investigation, said lawyer Jenny Wiltshire: “He now welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name.”
The alleged offenses committed by Partey are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022. The police have been investigating since February 2022, according to a statement from the London Metropolitan Police. The trial is scheduled to begin on August 5th in the British capital.
Partey moved to London from Spanish top club Atlético Madrid in 2020 for 50 million euros. The Gunners, team of German national player Kai Havertz, did not extend the contract with the 32-year-old, which expired at the end of June. Partey has been without a club since then.
