The three final games of the former club World Cup will be played in the World Cup host country in 2022 in December.

The FIFA World Federation Association confirmed Qatar as the host of the so-called Intercontinental Cup in December. The 2022 World Cup ceremony only plays the final three games of the former club World Cup. Only the champions of the six Confederations have been participating in the competition since last year.

Champions League winner Paris Saint-Germain is set for the final on December 17th. Two games will be played before: On December 10, Cruz Azul from Mexico will meet the South America champion, the winner of this game will fight against Africa Champion Pyramids FC from Cairo on December 13th.

The Intercontinental Cup was played for the first time last year, it won Real Madrid. Seven teams took part in the club World Cup until 2023, the last winner after the old mode was Manchester City. This summer FC Chelsea won the premiere of the new World Cup for club teams.
